Motorola sb 5101 updating

Rated 3.93/5 based on 502 customer reviews

There is a better technology available in modems today called DOCSIS 3.0.The main difference between DOCSIS 2 and DOCSIS 3 is that the latter uses channel bonding. They said it was simply not taking full advantage of the internet service I am using. And upgrading to a newer modem would greatly enhance my user experience.

I was informed that my modem was using old technology.

The question is, will my modem make use of those extra speeds, or is it capped out at a certain point?

Likewise for my Linksys wireless router (which I believe is the Linksys WRT54GL)?
